Wayanad

Wayanad is a lush plateau district in the northern Western Ghats, sitting between 700 and 2,100 metres above sea level. It is one of the most biodiverse regions in the state, with more than half of the district under forest or wildlife sanctuary. Visitors can trek up Chembra Peak to witness a unique heart-shaped lake, explore the prehistoric petroglyphs of Edakkal Caves, or enjoy a serene boat ride at Pookode Lake and Banasura Sagar Dam.
